Membrane sorption domestic water filter for
obtaining high quality drinking water

The discussion about what filter is the most efficient and reliable has been lasting for several decades. However it is obvious that the best water filter was created by the Nature itself where the process of filtering is made by various organic and non-organic membranes and sorbents. Thus the artificial water purifying systems shall at least comply with this principle: they must be based on membrane-sorption concept.

The MEGRAN domestic water filter is just such a device. It was commercialized in Russian market five years ago. The MEGRAN is certified according to the standarts of World Health Organization,WHO.

The water cleaning system is designed for purifying running water from hard dashes, colloidal parts and heavy metal salts and any microorganisms. The device is set in the water supply system and the clean water is brought to the user through a special separate water tap.

The device contains a membrane unit and one to two units of afterpurification (their number depends on required throughput and working life ). Besides, cleaned and salt stabilized water is fining 6 to 12 times by special sorbents and fibre. Such a combination of various methods of cleaning and fining the water known as “ water polishing “ provides for unprecedented resource of the MEGRAN family filters: 50000 liters for MEGRAN-003 and 75000 liters for MEGRAN-006.
